Instructions

  1. Create a Typeform Request Form
    See: How To Use Typeform: How To Customize A Typeform Survey
  2. Go to Zapier
  3. Login using the credentials
  4. On your Dashboard, click "Make a Zap!"
  5. Rename the Zap on the top left hand corner
  6. Under "Choose a Trigger App", select "Typeform"
  7. Under "Select Typeform Trigger", select "New Entry" then click "Save + Continue"
  8. Under "Select Typeform Account", select "BrandShare Typeform" then click "Save + Continue"
  9. Under "Set up Typeform Entry" click on the "Forms" dropdown menu and select the Typeform Request Form you created in Step 1. Click "Continue"
  10. Under "Test Typeform" click "Fetch & Continue"
  11. Once the test is successful, click "Continue"
  12. Under "Choose an Action App", select "Asana"
  13. Under "Select Asana Action" select "Create Task"
  14. Under "Select Asana Account" select "BrandShare/[email protected]" then click "Save + Continue"
  15. Under the "Workspace / Organization" dropdown menu, select "brand share.us"
  16. Under the "Project" dropdown menu, select the project you want the task to be added to.
    If you can't see the project, click on "Check Asana & reload to bring in new choices." Several projects may be hidden until you keep clicking that button.
  17. Under "Section" select the Asana Project Section you want the task to be added to.
  18. Under "Name" type in the title of the task you're adding.
    To add fields (Typeform answers), click on the "Insert a Field" menu button to the right of the text box.
    (e.g. Client Name Request)
  19. Under "Notes" click on the "Insert a Field" menu button to the right of the text box and select "Form Responses" This should autofill the notes section with the answers from the Typeform Request Form.
  20. Under "Due On" click on the "Insert a Field" menu button to the right of the text box and select a date input from the Typeform Request Form that corresponds to the due date.
  21. Under "Assignee" select "Use a Custom Value (advanced)"
  22. A new text box appears called "Custom Value for Assignee ID" Click on the "Insert a Field" menu button to the right of the text box and select the "Email" input from Typeform. This should correspond to the email profile of the person who filed out the form on Asana.
  23. Under "Assignee Status" leave blank.
  24. Under "Followers" select the main contact. If you'd like to add more, click on the plus button. Click on the minus button to remove.
  25. Under "Hearted" leave blank.
  26. Under "Tag" leave blank.
  27. Click "Continue"
  28. Click "Finish"
