We are absolutely thrilled to be spotlighted in the March 2020 issue of Chain Drug Review feature ‘Subscription Box Services a Boon for Retail Sales’. From food and beauty to many other niche categories, subscription boxes are on the rise and one of the most successful is the Walmart Beauty Box.

Launched in 2014, subscribers receive this quarterly subscription box filled with beauty, personal care and wellness samples. According to Erica Solomon, beauty director at Brandshare, “It isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach with the box when consumers sign up. Brandshare customizes the box based on subscriber profiles such as skin care concerns or hair type. We want to get the products into the right hands.”

Subscription boxes are perfect for the busy consumer who may have less time to shop in-store. “The boxes are a great way to reach the Walmart shopper” says Colleen McGovern, senior Vice President of customer experience at Brandshare. “It is a great way to put products into the hands of her hands in the comfort and privacy of their homes, where trial experiences are at their highest."
